Zwingli Nursery School

a community service of Zwingli United Church of Christ

Welcome!

We are back at 350 Wile Avenue in Souderton

Accepting enrollments for 2012–2013 school year!

Here's a one–page flier (pdf) with information about our coming school year.

We have the same great program in a brand new facility, back at 350 Wile Avenue!
Children are taught in a multi–age classroom, offering the students a well-rounded preschool education with our experienced teaching team.

All the children will attend the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions in the 2012–2013 school year. Our lead and enrichment teachers have education degrees, and with our qualified teaching assistant we have a great team on board. Our Director is Beverly Godshall.

My son Ryan wakes up every Tuesday and Thursday and cannot wait until he goes to school. I want to thank you for that!!

School Day

Our morning sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m.

The daily schedule includes approximately one hour of free play when children may do various activities such as puzzles, blocks, dolls, books, and learning games. Circle time is a chance to encourage discussion, read stories, and share ideas. Music in the form of singing, CDs, rhythm instruments, and dancing is another important part of our curriculum. Through our art activities we expose the children to as many different materials as possible to develop their creativity. And we have well-furnished classroom and playspace for the children.

During circle time, the teachers will divide the children to develop age-appropriate skills. Both the 3- and 4-year-olds will work on their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills. The 4-year-olds will be prepared and ready to enter Kindergarten the following year, and the 3-year-olds will learn to separate from their families, share, and play well with others, along with learning shape and color recognition and other age-appropriate skills.

The children will participate in a variety of field trips on Fridays, and guest speakers will be brought in throughout the school year. These educational trips coordinate with the themes that are taught in the curriculum.

I want to personally thank you for making Ian and Katharine's first school experience a warm and positive one. They have wonderfully sweet and fond memories of Zwingli. Thanks again.

– Jen Harrison
