no matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here
On June 20, 2008, fire damaged our building, but we are still a congregation committed to our Christian ministry. On Rally Day 2009, pictured above, we officially began the Capital Campaign to reconstruct our building.
In spring of 2010, as we approach the second anniversary of the fire, members of Zwingli have thus far promised to contribute $700,000 over a three-year period. Though an amazing amount for a church our size, it falls short of our financial needs to rebuild our church and continue supporting ministry to communities near and far. We anticipate needing to raise additional monies over the next few years to rebuild the church.
Here's volume 1, issue 2 of our reconstruction newsletter. Pipes and pews and a pitcher...
You can still read volume 1, issue 1, also. Read about sub-contractor bids, fundraising excitement, and some of the questions and answers from our new Q&A box at the Boys & Girls Club.
Read them here! Larry Moss's announcements from March 28 and April 4, 2010. How are we reducing costs and increasing revenue? Get a sampling of the vast amount of work going on behind the scenes, from architecture to zoning.
As I mentioned last Sunday, we encourage you to give your friends and
family an opportunity to contribute to Zwingli's rebuilding fund. In doing so
you are giving them a gift; the opportunity to generously lend their
support in the rebuilding of our church and all the wonderful work that occurs
within.
We have prepared a letter for you to send to your loved ones. Please
feel free to customize it in any way or to send your own original note.
This letter may be printed from our website, below, and hard
copies will be available Sunday mornings at worship or at the church
office.
Thank you for your help. Together, we can accomplish our mission.
Family and friends letter in several versions:
Lent is a season of spiritual renewal and preparation. The Prayer Committee of the Capital Campaign prepared Lenten Prayer Journey handouts with a scripture reading and prayer focus for each day from Ash Wednesday until Easter. Through these Lenten prayers, many of us took the opportunity to renew our commitment to God, reflect on our lives and let them be directed by God, and respond to Jesus' call for love and mercy toward all of God's children.
A 24-hour Prayer Vigil that began on Saturday, September 26, led us into Commitment Sunday. Please click to read an important message from the Prayer Committee of the Capital Campaign.
Many members participated in small-group meetings – Building Committee updates and ideas for giving, with a chance to ask questions.

"Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands—all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you." – Luke 6:38
